Every eligible entry has the same chance
Likes, comment length, and posting time don't change the odds. Filters only decide who can enter. They don't affect the random draw.

How it works
Most draws take less than two minutes. You only need the link to a public video or Short with comments turned on.
Copy the link of a public YouTube video or Short and paste it into the picker. It loads up to 10,000 comments. No sign-up is needed.
Match the rules you announced. Keep one entry per channel, exclude your own comments, require a keyword or hashtag, set a minimum like count, or ignore comments posted after your deadline.
Choose how many winners and backups you need, then press Draw. Each eligible entry has the same chance of being picked.
Copy the winner announcement, save the draw record, or export all eligible entries as a CSV. If a winner doesn't qualify, redraw just that spot.
Fair by design
Yes. Your rules decide who can enter. After that, every eligible entry has exactly the same chance of winning, and the draw runs in your browser.
Likes, comment length, and posting time don't change the odds. Filters only decide who can enter. They don't affect the random draw.
The draw uses crypto.getRandomValues, the browser's secure random number generator, with a Fisher–Yates shuffle. Rejection sampling keeps every position equally likely.
Duplicate entries are matched by YouTube channel ID, not display name. Renamed accounts can't enter twice, and different people with the same name aren't merged.
Each draw produces a timestamped record with the video, the rules, the number of eligible entries, and the winners. Post it with your announcement.
Before you draw
A random draw is only fair when entrants know the rules. Follow these steps and apply the same rules in the picker.
Read YouTube's contest policyThis checklist isn't legal advice. Contest laws vary by country.
YouTube's contest policy requires official rules for every contest. Explain how to enter, when entries close, and how the winner is chosen, then link the rules in your description.
YouTube's policy requires your rules to say that YouTube isn't a sponsor of your contest and to release YouTube from liability.
Tell viewers when entries close. Enter the same date and time in the picker so late comments are left out.
Most giveaways allow one entry per person. Keep One entry per channel on so extra comments don't improve anyone's odds.
Some winners won't reply or won't qualify. Draw one or two backups at the same time so you don't need a second draw.
The picker can't check subscriptions, age, or location. Confirm those requirements with the winner before you send a prize.
FAQ
Need to find a specific comment instead of a random one? Use the YouTube comment finder.
A YouTube random comment picker loads the comments on a video and selects one or more at random. Creators use it to choose giveaway and contest winners fairly without scrolling through the comments by hand.
Yes. It's free and doesn't require an account. You can load up to 10,000 comments, use every filter, draw multiple winners and backups, and export entries to CSV.
This picker uses the browser's cryptographic random number generator (crypto.getRandomValues) and an unbiased Fisher–Yates shuffle. Every eligible entry has exactly the same chance. Likes and comment order don't affect the result.
Most creators ask viewers to leave a comment, then use a comment picker to draw a random winner from the entries. They filter duplicates and entries after the deadline, draw a backup, and share proof of the draw when they announce the winner.
Not when the host keeps One entry per channel turned on. The picker counts one comment per YouTube channel, so extra comments don't add entries. Follow the giveaway's rules and comment before the deadline.
The picker loads up to 10,000 comments from one video, including Shorts. Only loaded comments that meet your rules can be drawn. If a video has more than 10,000 comments, some entries won't be loaded.
No. The YouTube API doesn't show whether a commenter is subscribed, so no picker can verify it reliably. If subscribing is a requirement, confirm it with the winner before you announce them, and draw a backup.
Yes. Exclude the video's creator is on by default and removes comments from the channel that uploaded the video. Add other usernames, such as moderators or past winners, under More rules.
Yes. Choose up to 50 winners and 20 backups. The same entry is never selected twice in one draw. If a winner doesn't qualify, redraw only that spot.
It works with Shorts and with comments on live stream replays. Live chat messages aren't comments, so they can't be loaded.
No. Comments are loaded for your session and the draw runs in your browser. The picker doesn't save your entries, winners, or draw history to an account.
